Current music: But Julian, I'm A Little Older Than You, by Courtney Love.
I can't believe it's still Tuesday. Sometimes it feels like time goes really fast and sometimes it feels like it goes slower than slow. School couldn't be more boring, and I can't say I'm too happy about how the rest of my life's going. I shouldn't be worring about things like these at 18. It's soon to suffer a quarter-life crisis. lol. It's funny to say this, though. I'm always complaining about how I'd like to change my life, but I'm doing nothing to change it. Like my friend Julio says, "you can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket". I think he's completely right, but... how am I gonna change my life if I don't know what I want? I guess everyone has gone through this kind of crisis, but I've been feeling like this for a long time, and specially since early 2004. Anyway, I hope to feel better soon.
I went to see a movie today. I've always wanted to go to a theatre to see a film in its original language, but sadly my old city wasn't big or cool enough to have one of these theatres. Fortunately in Madrid there are plenty of those, so today I lost my virginity about this. lol. I went to see an Israeli film called Walk On Water. Last month I read its plot and thought it was interesting, and critics were enthusiastic about it. It's about Eyal, a hit man for Mossad that after the suicide of his wife receives a new mission: findind and killing a former Nazi officer. To reach his target he pretends to be a tourist guide to meet the Nazi's grandson, Axel, who's visiting his sister Pia in Israel. While Eyal is very sullen and has many old-fashioned values, Axel is a friendly, liberal gay teacher who's always doing what his hearts tells him to do. They couldn't be more different, but they slowly become friends. This is a truly wonderful movie. It has a little bit of everything: comedy, drama, mistery... The actors are fantastic. It's the first time we get to see a straight man and a gay one discussing about circumcision while they're naked. lol. There's also a priceless dialogue where Eyal feels curious about gay sex and asks Axel if he's a top or a bottom or if anal sex hurts. lol. The soundtrack is fabulous too, featuring Telépopmusik or Buffalo Springfield, among Israeli artist Ivri Lider. Plus Knut Berger, who plays Axel, is a total cutie! :P If you ever have the chance to see this movie, don't hesitate to do it. Meanwhile you can check its official site.
You need to be pure to walk on water,
Santi
