Nothing at all
Saturday, October 29, 2005

I'm not going to apologize for being a lazyass cause I've done it thousands of times before and you already know I'm really lazy. Life's been reeeeally boring lately. I'm currently spending this holiday weekend in my borntown, and yesterday we went to see Fragile, which was scary in a good way. I like Calista Flockhart.

I might go partying this Monday. There's nothing official yet, so stay tuned for further information. I still think it's weird to celebrate Halloween in Europe. I just think they just needed a good excuse to go out and get drunk. Well, I have nothing against that, but it's still weird.

Gotta run. We've rented an horror movie and they can't wait to see it.

Relaxed...
Wednesday, October 26, 2005

Current music: Welcome to the Dollhouse, by Daniel Ray.

I have nothing to say, but I'm known for writing countless posts about nothing at all, so here we go.

I had a Geography exam this morning and I think I fucked it up, but I don't really care that much. I don't have any more exams until next week, so it's time to relax. I saw I'm Going To Tell You A Secret again [and I still think it's marvelous, and I'm madly in love with Stuart Price :P], and I had a haircut. I think I look kinda retarded/preppy but I really like how it looks now. I wanted a little change, so I went for something like this, but not that long. People will hate it, but I'm so happy about the result. Oh, and I found out I don't speak Hairdresser because they guy who was doing my hair kept talking to his workmates about what's new in the hairstyling world like the "thickening trend", which sounds very intriguing. And in case you were wondering -- each and every male hairdresser there was straight. I still can't believe it.

I'm spending this next holiday weekend at my borntown, and I'm really excited about it but I'm slightly worried about my money. I've managed to save some money during this month and I could easily spend half [or all] of it while I'm there. God knows I have no self-control when it comes to spend money.

I'd love to write more, but I don't want to.

Slow
Sunday, October 23, 2005

Current music: Crazy, by Alanis.

It pisses me off to be so slow sometimes. I just found out that Ang Lee has spent a couple of days in Spain promoting Brokeback Mountain, which has taken part in Valladolid Film Festival. Valladolid is a city which isn't too far from here [a couple of hours by car], and my parents would had allowed me to go and all. So I'm punished to wait over three months to see the movie for being stupid. I'm actually tempted to bang my head against the wall because crying for seven minutes didn't help to make me feel any better. Yes, I know I'm pathetic for worring so much about these things, but I'm too old to change. lol.

Some tidbits:

- I passed my Economics exam! :D
- I got to see I'm Going To Tell You A Secret. God bless illegal file sharing.
- I'm watching The Secret Life of Words tomorrow. Yay.

In a world full of people only some want to fly,

Pop will make us free
Friday, October 21, 2005

Thank god for Rachel Stevens' new album. Come And Get It has helped to kept me in my head during this oh so awful week. Pop hasn't been huge in the charts in the last few years, so it's refreshing to hear an album like this in such odd times. While her previous album, Funky Dory [2003], is still a quite enjoyable collection of songs, it lacks the catchiness and cohesion which Come And Get It has. Her voice has improved a lot and this new sound suits her better than Funky Dory's pop-oriented r&b. This is what critics had to say about it:

"A rich mix of stylish, decadent and sophisticated sounds, 'Come And Get It' is pure pop gold." [HMV]

"Quite simply, it's the pop album of the year." [BBC]

"Brilliant, cutting-edge pop music." [The Guardian]

So leave your prejudices aside and give it a chance. You won't be disappointed. ^^

On strike
Wednesday, October 19, 2005

Current music: Worm Me Down, by Rachael Yamagata.

I decided I'm on strike this week. I'm starting my mid-terms in just a couple of weeks, so I need to take a rest. I had a ton of homework but I went shopping instead. I'm like, a total badass. lol. I went out with my cousin Carmen. We're not meant to be best friends, but I do appreciate her willingness to go out with me from time to time. We did have a nice time. I ended up buying a sweet cotton jacket. It's green, which is a color which suits me very well. :P

I had a very disturbing dream the other day. Yes, I did dream about zombies again, but that's unimportant because everyone knows I'm obssesed with Dawn of the Dead [the remake with the marvelous Sarah Polley] What happens when you dream about something you should've done? I hate that, it makes me feel stupid. So, I dreamt I was in some CD shop and then I saw the shop assistant. He was this guy who worked at Madrid Rock. The same who used to drive me crazy. The same who starred on a tv commercial last summer. The same who made me realize I'm a total retard. Got it, right? So then I talked to him. I asked him about the upcoming trial about Madrid Rock's closing, which is taking place this December [the workers sued the owners because they didn't give them any compensation] He was really, really nice and told me there was a protest going on in front of Madrid Rock. So we went together, and introduced me to his formers workmates. And after that I only remember we talked about a date or something and I gave him my number. I woke up in shock thinking "I *need* to go to that shop!", but then I realized it didn't exist :( Anyway, life's like this. I made a decision back then, and it was the wrong one, as always.

He's gone. How do you feel about it?,

No-post
Monday, October 17, 2005

Current music: Breaking the Habit, by Linkin Park.

This is basically a no-post, cause I have nothing exciting to write about. Anyway. I got a 5.7 on History, which is acceptable, but shitty if you compare it to the grades I used to get in History last year. I have an Economics exam tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure I'll pass. It's like the first time I'm able to say this about Economics! :P

My classmates annoy the hell out of me. Every time they see me on msn they're like "hey, what's up?!" and I'm like "Fine! I saw you like two hours ago, so I have nothing to tell you about!". lol. I guess they just try to be nice, but if we don't have anything to talk about, I just don't know why they bother to open a conversation.

I've been downloading pure pop songs like crazy for the past two days. I love my life.

I don't know what's worth fighting for,

Santi

A bit of everything
Friday, October 14, 2005

I'm absolutely exhausted, so don't expect anything interesting or incredibly deep.

- Madonna's new single, Hung Up, has finally leaked. It was being released this Monday but it was stolen from Fnac France's website before it was posted [thank god for hackers! lol] It's like the most amazing song ever. It's impressively catchy, and deliciously retro but modern at the same time. It's a sure-fire #1! :)

On other Madonna news: if you go to vh1.com you'll have the chance to see a 10-minute preview of her documentary I'm Going To Tell You A Secret, which was filmed last year during her sold-out Re-Invention Tour. It looks really interesting, and the editing is awesome. We also get to know her crew, and I hope Stuart Price has plenty of screentime. He's not only truly talented, he's like the cutest thing in this world. :P

- Check out this short movie. It's called Paul & Frank, and it shows how two straight men can be really close friends... not! :P It's the funniest thing I've ever seen, and just in case you click on the link -- it contains strong language and a very graphic sex scene. You've been warned! ;)

- Daniel Craig has been officially chosen as the new James Bond. He's a good actor, but I think he's fugly. Sorry.

- I got a 8.9 on Psychology and I'm still waiting to know about History. My teacher is a prick so I'll probably get a 4 or something like that.

That's all, folks.

Clueless
Wednesday, October 12, 2005

Current music: I Said Never Again [But Here We Are], by Rachel Stevens.

My life couldn't be any more routinary right now. It's all about school and classes with my tutor, as simple [and sad] as that. I'm really nervous about this year. It's only October and I'm already stressed about school, and to think about the next seven months and *THE EXAM* makes me feel even worse. I have two exams tomorrow. History and Psichology. History used to be one of my best subjects last year, but my new teacher is a dull fucker with zero sense of humour who can't stand me, so I'm a little worried about his exam. Psychology, also known as "that hour where I do my homework while ignoring what the teacher is saying", shouldn't be too hard. Or at least it looks easy.

Have you ever felt completely clueless about what you want to do with your future? I guess you have. I just don't know what I want to study next year, and everyone in my class has at least a slight idea about it. I'll be pleased to hear your suggestions.

I got my first birthday presents yesterday, from my cousin and her mom [who's also my godmother] Super kawaii! ^^

I really like the game you play,

Santi

Birthday report
Sunday, October 09, 2005

For those who expected a really detailed report on my birthday -- you'll be disappointed, because there's absolutely nothing interesting to tell you about. I spent the whole day at home. My parents weren't at home so I was alone. No gifts. No cake. No nothing. I'm a neglected child. lol. Well, I actually received a lot of very cheerful calls and text messages, so I guess it could've been much worse. I just can't believe I'm 19! >.<

Two brief notes:

- Rachel Stevens is wicked. Who said pop was dead?

- My parents bought a fabulous chocolate cake today, and I'm eating it as soon as I finish this post.

J'en ai marre!
Friday, October 07, 2005

My last year of adolescence is beginning in 1 day.

It's been one of my worst weeks ever. Some teachers are being way too demanding, which is slowly killing me. I'm serious, I don't remember the last time I felt so tired for such a long time. I had a Philosophy exam this morning and it was a total disaster. I swear it was the worst exam I've ever written. Philosophy is a fucking useless subject, and I can't believe they force us to study that shit. Well, it's actually not that bad, but my teacher is a damn #€~@!!!

I just don't know why I'm always over-excited about the weekend and then Friday comes and I get down because I have no plans.

That psycho who worships me has e-mailed me again, I just don't know why. I guess it's because I couldn't be any more irresistible ;)

Have a good weekend.

Free Kate.

Oh my
Wednesday, October 05, 2005

My last year of adolescence is beginning in 3 days.

I'm in an exhausted/excited/really shocked and kinda scared mood today for the following reasons:

- School sucks big time [exhausted]

- My best friend Jaime is coming to Madrid for the weekend :) [excited]

- This guy who kept e-mailing and texting me last August and wanted to be "close friends and maybe more" e-mailed me this morning. He says he wants to be friends with me. And tell me, would you be friends with someone who once said he was uncomfortable about your so-called friendship? I was starting to feel regretful about the things I told him because I was as harsh as I could, but it looks like he didn't mind. [really shocked and kinda scared]

Outrageously bored
Sunday, October 02, 2005

Current music: Four to the Floor, by Starsailor.

I've had one of the most boring weekends ever. It hurts so much being stuck at home knowing that millions of people are actually having a blast. But it's my fault. I've been reading some of my older entries and I'm constantly whining about how shitty my life is, yet I do nothing to find a solution to my problem[s]. Anyway, I don't want to get philosophical on a Sunday afternoon.

Blogthings is the reason why I'm still alive.

You Should Learn French

How Boyish or Girlish Are You?

Your Career Type: Artistic
You are expressive, original, and independent.Your talents lie in your artistic abilities: creative writing, drama, crafts, music, or art.You would make an excellent:Actor - Art Teacher - Book Editor Clothes Designer - Comedian - Composer Dancer - DJ - Graphic DesignerIllustrator - Musician - Sculptor The worst career options for your are conventional careers, like bank teller or secretary.
What's" Your Ideal Career?
