Current music: Glorious, by Andreas Johnson.

I had a great day. I spent a filthy amount of money but I don't care cause I had a good time. I went to two comics stores that a friend told me about [Madrid Comics and Atlantica 3.0] and even though I felt a little out of place, I managed to find one of the comics I was looking for. You always hear stories about how weird some comic fans are, and today I saw that some of those stories are actually true. Just try to imagine this: three goth teenagers [two girls, one guy], reading a hentai [a manga which includes sex scenes] and making comments like "oh my god, he's got a big one!". It was kind of funny, but a little embarrasing too. After that I went to see a movie [which I review below], and then I went to check a CD store which has new releases at ridiculously low prices. It happened something really shocking there. I saw there was a 30-something woman [who looked like if she was on drugs] shouting at another woman in the store, and she started hitting her right in front of me. Right in front of me, for real. But fortunately she didn't go much further cause a guy who was there stopped her. She then left the store screaming "BIIITCH!!!!" and things like that. It was so scary. I got some stuff as well: Ryan Cabrera's Take It All Away, Melanie C's Better Alone DVD single [which was released last week] and Jason Mraz's The Remedy CD single for just EUR14. God, I really love that store... even though sometimes I witness scary things.

The film I went to see was Yossi & Jagger. It's taken three years to release it here, but it was worth the wait. After all, we never get to see Israeli movies, so it's better late than never. It's about a secret love story between two officers in a base in the Israeli-Lebanese border. Jagger [Yehuda Levi] is about to finish the service and wants to make this relationship public, but Yossi [Ohad Knoller] is afraid of what people would say. Why most Hollywood films would need at least two hours and a $100 million budget to tell what this movie does with very little money in just 65 minutes? And I'm sure that if Hollywood made a remake of this film it wouldn't be as believable. It's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. Eytan Fox is a damn genius. Some months ago I saw Walk On Water, which was marvelous, and after seeing this one you can tell he's no one-trick pony. Mr. Fox, you're one of the reasons why I still believe in moviemaking.
