Current music: This Groove, by Victoria Beckham.

Kill me. Please. I'm so terribly bored since I'm an adult. Here's a day-by-day chronicle:

Friday

This was the day I turned 18. Some would say it's great to be 18 cause you can do whatever you want and stuff. My ass. "At least you got a lot of gifts, right?". Well, you're wrong. My parents are too lazy/selfish/careless to spend 30 minutes buying what I told them I wanted when they asked me what I wanted for my birthday [that line was such a tongue twister lol] Two fucking CDs. That's all I wanted. And I'm still waiting for them. So to avoid all the suicidal/nostalgic/negative thoughts I was having at home I decided to go to Fnac. They've got stores all over Europe [in Spain, Portugal and France, at very least], and in every of these stores there's a small auditorium where they celebrate conferences, photography exhibitions and concerts. When I walked into the store I heard music from that room and I was curious about it [as always] It was great to see what was taking place: an acoustic concert by The Finn Brothers. I have to say I'm not too familiar with their solo stuff [though I love Crowded House since I was like 10] but I really enjoyed the concert. They talked a lot to the audience and had a great time playing for us. Plus the gig was 100% free, so it was almost perfect. I phoned my cousin [who's a huge Crowded House fan] while they were singing Weather With You [we love this song] and felt so jealous. lol. But there was another thing that made me feel happy. Just when I arrived I saw another guy walking into the room. "That guy" was the male member of a Spanish duo I adore, Amaral. I've been a fan of this group since I was 12, I own all their albums and I've seem them live in concert three times. So you can imagine how I was feeling seeing him so close. My legs were trembling. lol. I thought of asking him for an autograph, but there were several factors against me:

1) I'm insanely shy. So try to imagine if I had to talk to someone I admire [he also kind of turns me on, yet another reason to stay quiet]

2) He was attending a concert, just like me. I bet he didn't want to be bothered by a stuttering teenager asking him for an autograph.

3) A lot of people recognised him, and I bet many of them were waiting for someone to break the ice and ask him for an autograph to do the same.

4) He was with two friends. I'm sure they're fed up with strangers talking to his friend. lol

5) Everytime I go out I see someone famous, so there's a strong chance of seeing him again. lol!

But our little afair didn't end there. I swear I wasn't stalking him, but we end up sharing the same cash desk. lol. One of his friends said, in a very strong French accent, he wanted to buy a CD from some Spanish singer. The main reason why I was there that evening was to buy The Killers' Hot Fuss. It's not my fault if the Spanish CDs and the new releases are on the same floor. I hope this clear things up. lol

Saturday

I'm sure this day sucked big time cause I can't remember anything. I stayed at home, that's for sure. Oh, I also remember that I ate like a fucking cow. That's all.

Sunday

Oh my God. A few weeks ago I told you how much I hate to do things with my family and the parents of my brother's girlfriend. I hate going out to eat too. Now, if you mix both things you'll have one of my biggest fears. It came true yesterday. I have nothing to say about it. Nedless to say that I had to hear comments about my weird eating habits and answer to questions I've answered twenty times before like "what is like to have 18?" or "do you like Madrid?". It was as horrible as you might think and I haven't felt so single in my whole life. At least our waiter was hot.

Later I was so astonishingly bored that I burned a cd with the singles that the former Spice Girls have released as solo artists. lol. Hey, they're not that bad. I'm listening to it right now, and I like it.

Monday

I didn't have school today, so I slept until 14:00 or something. The day has been very boring too, but I've been playing with the mp3 converter I downloaded yesterday and it's really entertaining. I sound like a loser. lol. But anything is better than school. I don't have school tomorrow either [we the day of Hispanic Culture or something like that] There's a military parade [with tanks, planes and all] that is attending the Royal Family, and I don't know if I'm living in Madrid or in Apocalypse Now. There are thousand of helicopers flying around the sky and there's a cop on every bloody inch of the town. But still, anything is better than school. lol.

Just don't disturb this groove,

Santi
