The line I chose as the title of my post is said by Seymour [played by Steve Buscemi] in the film adaptation of Daniel Clowes' graphic novel Ghost World. I saw it again tonight and it made me think. Sometimes I feel the same way, and it's very frustrating. I may have high standards, and I swear I want them to be lowered, but I just can't fight against that. And that's why it's so hard for me to find friends, let alone a boyfriend. Sometimes it's fun to be a social outcast, like Enid and Rebecca, but on the other hand it makes you feel lonely. And, for a second, you wish you were ordinary, but then you think again and you decide to stay true to yourself, even if the price is very high.
