I'll be out of town for a couple of days. My brother is graduating from the Civil Guard academy [it's a police force like the Gendarmerie in France or the Mounted Police in Canada], so we have to attend this pompous ceremony which I'd rather not see. The shit you do for your brothers, and you get nothing in return.

Have you heard about this cool new artist called Dave Melillo? He's a really talented 17 year-old from New Yersey who is about to release his debut EP, entitled Talk Is Cheap, via Drive-Thru Records this June. But you can download it for free at mtvU if you can't wait to hear it. I'm not usually into punk-pop or emo stuff, but he's seriously awesome. Knights of the Island Counter and Sam's Song are two songs you should know and love.

"I got some problems but we got ten dollards/That's enough to get us wasted before the night is over" is just about the best lyric ever written. lol.
